Orie’s story

We found eight-yeard olf Buddy (fka Orie) in terrible shape on the side of a road. His fur was matted, he was just skin and bones and he could barely walk. Our rescue team wasn't sure he was going to make it but with lots of TLC at the shelter Buddy perked right up and when a former adopter asked us if we had a sweet senior dog we had to recommend Buddy. Buddy found his forever home in New Jersey this November. Now he enjoys wearing sweaters, rolling around on his back with a toy in his mouth, and cuddling up in his favorite chair. We're almost certain Buddy is cozy sitting by the fire just as you are reading this!

Five puppies came running out of the woods.

Help! Yesterday these five puppies came running out of the woods. We still can't believe someone had just thrown them away. Now they are safe with us but our expenses are piling up quickly. They need extra food, puppy pads, deworming, tick/flea medication, and several vet visits each. Every dollar counts! Can you step up to help them?

Peach and her 5 puppies - The Rescue Story Continues

Do you remember this mom and 5 puppies that were found in the woods? Here is the second part of their rescue story:

The mom who was found hungry, tired and scared became an absolutely gorgeous dog, our Peach! Smart, loving, and incredibly affectionate Peach was adopted in NJ where she is loved and spoiled.

Her one puppy was adopted in St. Peterburg, his name is Duke now. Duke has a furry sibling and a little boy who loves him very much.

Now we need to find homes for Duke’s four sisters. They have many things in common, they are beautiful, smart, friendly, loving, playful, cheerful and all have gigantic ears. They are practically identical except for their ears!

Elsa

If you are interested in adopting one of the sisters or learning more, please fill out our adoption application here and we’ll be in touch.

Sochi Dogs Reunion 2019

Every year Sochi Dog adopters gather for a reunion in Morristown, NJ. Families come from all over the east coast to watch their rescue dogs reunite with siblings and shelter friends. Its a real celebration of what Sochi Dogs is all about. It was just months ago that some of these dogs were fighting to survive on the streets, and now they have people who love. It’s our adopters, supporters, and incredible volunteer team who makes this possible.

A special thank to our raffle basket and goodie bag donors - artist Jody Mc Grath, photographer Lisa Ward, Embark, Found My Animal, Stella and Chewy, Wash.N.Wiggle, Bark Box, Pet Supplies Plus in East Hanover, and UpCountry.
