Sochi Sanctuary

When a dog needs help, Sochi Dogs is there. From providing emergency veterinary care to long-term rehabilitation, we never say no to a dog in need. Our goal is to find a loving home for every dog, but that’s not always possible. Some dogs have serious medical conditions that need constant supervision, while others are particularly fearful, and moving to a home would be too much stress for them. These dogs still deserve love and care so Sochi Dogs works with our rescue partners to provide them with everything they need to live out their lives as comfortably as possible.

Sanctuary Members need a human. Read their stories, and consider sponsoring a Sanctuary dog so that they too will have a human.

Billy is one of the first dogs found during the Sochi Olympics. He had a leg injury as a puppy but has since healed.

Billy has spent his entire life at the original Sochi Dogs shelter where he has made friends with the other dogs but going outside the shelter frightens him.

We’re here to do what’s best for Billy so he’ll always have a home with Sochi Dogs.

Lulu was struggling to survive after she had fallen into a canal. The fall paralyzed her back legs but not her spirit.

Today Lulu gets around in a wheelchair and she must have her bladder expressed manually several times a day. But that doesn’t stop Lulu from playing with the other dogs and running around with Platon.

After Lulu was rescued she got a second chance at life and now she is living it to the fullest.

Before Katya came to Sochi Dogs in 2016 she had a family but one day they abandoned her because of her old age at a bus stop.

She waited there and kept on trying to get on the bus until one of our volunteers saw her and brought her to the original Sochi Dogs shelter.

What the person who abandoned Katya didn’t know was that she still has a long life ahead of her and she continues to live it to the fullest every day!
