And then there were… seven!

Last week we rescued six tiny siblings from a construction site.  We’ve been bottle feeding them around the clock and monitoring their progress. We also gave them baths and flea/tick treatments. But the whole time we couldn’t stop thinking about their mom. We went back to the site to look for her but she was nowhere to be found, instead, we found one more sibling! Now we have seven new puppies to care for.

A tremendous thank you to everyone who has donated to help with their care! If you can, please consider pitching in, every dollar makes a tremendous difference and helps provide these puppies with the care they need.

Rescue news: Six siblings!

Yesterday these six puppies were found at an abandoned construction site. The site is about to be dismantled and the puppies need help now. No-one has seen their mother. They are just a month old, weak and very hungry. Two of the puppies are tripods

We couldn't say no to them! The next few weeks are going to be critical, they'll need close monitoring and special nutrition to build up their strength. If you can please help us care for these siblings.

They are growing up fast!

Look at how big these puppies have gotten! When we rescued these this litter in April we never thought that come August and we’d still be waiting for our rescue flights to resume. We had planned that they would transition from the extra puppy run that we built for them to the regular shelter but now with no dogs leaving the shelter since late March there is no room.

We are still figuring out the best way to move forward and hoping flights resume very soon!

Update on Lulu

Thanks to everyone who helped with Lulu's surgery. She is out of her first procedure and recovering. She is on antibiotics now and we'll be changing her bandages four times a day until she heals. Please send your well wishes for a speedy recovery!
