Update on the Dnipro shelter after the attack.

A few days ago, Russia launched missiles to attack Dnipro’s power plant. The attack blew out windows and destroyed the roof on the Dnipro Shelter's kitchen and veterinary exam area. Thankfully everyone survived but the animals are terrified.

The Dnipro Team starts rebuilding the shelter. In repairing the roof, it was discovered that the wood-burning stove also suffered damage. Getting the stove back in working order so the team can cook and heat the space has been the priority!

Once again, a huge thank you to everyone who came together to make these repairs possible!

Vaccination Time!

Every year the Dnipro Shelter starts by fully re-vaccinating all the dogs in their care to make sure everyone is healthy and on the same vaccination schedule.

This year,  with the help of our community, we were able to help out by supplying all the vaccines needed and purchasing flea/tick/and heartworm preventatives.

Bouncy is finally in her forever home!

A huge thank you to Pilot Joe for helping Bouncy complete her journey home!

Rescued in Ukraine, Bouncy was accompanied by a flight volunteer to West Virginia earlier this month where a wonderful foster family welcomed her in. Adopters Ben and Sarah learned about Sochi Dogs from their friends who adopted a dog in 2020. When they saw Bouncy on the website it was love at first sight! To bring everyone together, we asked Pilots'n'Paws for help! Pilot Joe responded and just like that Bouncy made it to her forever home Rhode Island.

Dinner is served at the Dnipro Shelter!

This month Sochi Dogs has been able to deliver food to feed the 270+ dogs at the shelter. Everyone looks very excited!
