Why Foster?

Fostering a Sochi dog is a rewarding experience. You get to help a dog by giving them a place to stay until their forever home comes along and have a temporary companion to share in your adventures. Fostering is a great way to do a good deed and have the companionship of a dog without a long-term commitment.

What to Expect: 

The rescue will provide food, supplies, and pay for the cost of any veterinary care should it be needed. Sochi dogs are up-to-date on vaccinations and spayed/neutered. We will match you with a dog that fits your lifestyle. Our dedicated volunteers and other foster families are available to you should you need support or guidance at any point throughout the process. We work diligently to find an adopter once the dog reaches the foster family and have a high placement rate. Generally, Sochi dogs are adopted within 1-3 weeks.

What We Expect:

We're looking for people that are able to provide love and care to a foster dog on a temporary basis. Sochi dogs, like any dogs, may require some training and direction at first. We appreciate when our foster families are able to provide some basic training and share photos and insights on the dogs' personalities to help them find adopters faster. As a foster family, you will be able to be involved as much as you like through the adoption process in screening and selecting a forever home for your foster dog.
