Mitya is a gentle and caring soul! His life was turned upside down when he lost his family and home during the invasion of Ukraine.
Mitya was picked up off the street. When he arrived at the shelter, he was upset and disoriented. He sat with his head down in a corner, clearly struggling to adjust to his new surroundings. Sochi Dogs was able to get him out of the shelter and now Mitya is comfortably settled in a foster home in NJ. He enjoys daily walks, soaking up the sun, and sleeping on a soft, comfortable bed. Most recently he has even started playing with toys!
Mitya's manners are exceptional: he is completely house-trained, doesn't destroy anything, and loves walking on a leash. He is a calm and easy-going pooch who loves to relax and snuggle up with his human companions.
Mitya has been through a lot but he has one last challenge to overcome - heartworm. He is due to start treatment at the beginning of May. Please keep him in your thoughts as he undergoes his first treatment and if you can, please help in covering his veterinary bills.
If you are interested in providing Mitya with a long-term foster home or in adopting him permanently, please fill out our adoption questionnaire.
