You might remember this summer the team at Sochi Dogs-West in Morristown, NJ was confronted with an ever increasing number of dog crates. As more dogs arrived to their forever home, the crates kept piling up.
We enlisted the help of the entire Sochi Dogs community, Independent Freight and Sochi Dogs Board Member Wendy Gottsegen to help send these crates back to the shelter so that more dogs could use these crates to fly home.
The Sochi Dog community dedicated crates to their dogs, Independent Freight arranged for the transport and Sochi Dogs-West packed up the goods on a sweltering 90 degree July day.
The crates traveled in huge shipping containers all the way across the Atlantic and arrived safely in Sochi an entire month later!
But, their journey didn't stop there. Almost immediately after they arrived in Sochi two of the dedicated crates (to Willow and to Schatzi Kaiser) came back to NJ carrying four very special dogs, Freckles, Cody, Tulsi and Turtle!

Crates are starting to pile up again, so if you haven't done so already you have the chance to dedicate a crate to your dog to fly it forward. We anticipate to have another shipment in a few months.
