They Couldn't Believe He Was Still Alive.
Our shelter director Vlada and long time volunteer Valentina we're driving to pick up dog food when Vlada thought she saw something in the bushes. They stopped and found what looked like a dog. He was too weak to move a muscle.
Vlada and Valentina named him Darrell and rushed to the vet where he was immediately put on an IV. The vet said Darrell is about 10 years old. It's likely that he had been hit by a car and had spent 2-3 weeks in the bushes on the side of the road. (Scroll down to read more)

3 days after Vlada and Valentina brought Darrell to the vet he has started eating by himself. In a few days when he is stronger Vlada will take him to the shelter where he will continue to live as a permanent resident and know that he will never be hungry or abused ever again.
We are looking for individuals to sponsor Darrell to help us off-set the costs of his monthly veterinary care and food.
